We love wreaths, I am determined to have one on my door all year round to reflect the seasons. Its so wonderful watching people create something beautiful, especially at Christmas. They go home with a sense of pride, the world switches off when you are arranging flowers sometimes and so you feel a sense of calm followed by achievement.
In December we hosted two classes in mossed wreath making, one for the public and one for fellow wedding industry folk. Both classes were great fun with everyone creating something different adding their own personality. The chili barn is a stunning set up for our classes and events in general. We created the wreaths upstairs in the stunning setting with gorgeous reclaimed wood floors, twinkling lights and holly scattered around. We then ate the loveliest of festive fayre including the epic christmas pudding icecream, Out of this world! Here are some images of the classes. Lots of people just having fun and creating a bespoke wreath from scratch. They were then proudly shared all over social media as you can see. We shall keep you posted with more flower school class dates, if you want to register your interest just get in touch via email.
We created the wreaths using a frame, covered it with moss then created units of spruce and foliage to attach in to the wreath. We then added ribbon and decorations including cotton, cinnamon sticks, orange slices and lavender. The smell was incredibly festive and the students were so proud. We shall be certainly be doing the classes again next year.
