Floral Styling for boudoir…

We love styling whether it be for shoots, weddings or parties, we love playing with flowers and our range of pretty props. We seem to be doing more and more of it which is just fine by us as we get to work with some incredible talent. Cat Hepple is shooting boudoir in a beautiful totally different way and asked us to work with her on her latest Sweet Reveal shoot. You can read all about her style and hints for a boudoir shoot here. We have worked with Cat lots and adore her style ( I used her for a maternity shoot before my first born she made me feel utterly relaxed and so content in my own skin).

The ingredients for the shoot were to be raw, natural, pure…. “humble” I sourced some cotton which we used in the bouquet, in the models hair and scattered along the candle-lit floor. It looks incredible in the imagery. We used eucalyptus to soften the windows at Harewood House. I loved this, it gave a natural, garden feel to the set.

We created a simple bouquet of berried eucalptus and made a tiny crown for the models hair with pine cones, ranunculus and berries to give a wintery, pure feel. One bouquet was a loose mix of textures, not over thought just loosely gathered, it contained white astilbe, cotton, anemones, ranunculus, albiflora and astrantia. All delicate textures so beautiful in their own right. We kept the colour palate whites, greens and silvers to keep the pure, raw feel. The second smaller bouquet we created differently this time grouping the flowers together, as they would grow naturally. Looking just picked.

So simple and so effective, teamed with the force that is Victoria Farr hair and make up and the mind-blowing underwear from Sheer bliss, enjoy these images and if you are wanting to have a Sweet reveal we would love to style more, the ideas are endless, especially as the seasons change.
