Wowsers since we last wrote we have been super busy…here is a brief round up of what’s been going on with the Leafy girls…
The yorkshire Tweet meet at Chevin Country Park hotel was a great success, we loved meeting all the fabulous tweeters of yorkshire and hope to do another one in October for those who missed it. We had a great mix of bloggers, photographers, stationers, dressmakers, milliners, cake makers, chocolate and vintage china suppliers, ceremony officiants and wedding planners. It was a great chance to meet new people, put faces to tweets and to network while nibbling brownies and cups of tea. Huge thanks to those who supplied the tasty treats for the goody bags and we sneaked in some spring bulbs to spread the leafy love!
We have been truly blessed to be involved with two fabulous vintage shoots in the past few weeks. The first was brought together by the lovely Linda from Dresses at No.9 with her new vintage style dress collection, these were complimented by the ever so talented Jane from HF couture who provided amazing head pieces.
The photos were taken by Rob Booker, it was a real pleasure to work with him. Here are a few of the shots.
Our flowers were also photographed by the talented Graham Warsarp, you can see them on his blog
We also were asked to get involved with a royal wedding tea party style shoot with the inspiring Katie from Hello Vintage– a china hire company based in York. Together with the marvelous photographer Cat Hepple, I am Nat stationary, Just darling cakes and Bunting Queen the results were fantastic, I am sure you will agree. The dresses were supplied by Discover Vintage who we know from The Vintage Wedding fayres. We used Gran Prix roses, stunning anemones and Sweet Avalanche roses in vintage tins- a take on the red, white and blue royal theme. You can see the full set of images on Love my dress.
We have been lucky enough to be featured on lots of lovely blogs thanks to these shoots including Love my Dress, Boho weddings and Events and Fifties wedding. All the leafy girls were super thrilled to be featured on the blogs.
