Autumn wedding inspiration at our flower school style your aisle class

It was a fantastic day of gorgeous wedding inspiration and lots of new techniques for two lovely florists who joined us on our style your aisle class. We created three different looks in the Parish Church, Otley. The idea of the class was for florists to explore new techniques and to create arrangements together in a real life wedding setting. We covered a wide variety of techniques including creating garlands, working with moss, hanging flower backdrops, working with foam and chicken wire. We talked about how to use the designs going forward in all seasons to give clients lots of options.

The first scene was a structure of white silver birch trees with a foliage garland and floral corsages and hanging flowers. We discussed the many ways that you can use this structure to achieve different looks.

The second ceremony scene was a wild growing autumn meadow with lots of textures and colours using beautiful dahlia and grasses from Pickers flowers. We styled it up with festoon lighting from one of our students from Farm interiors. The third look was a foam free floating urn for more of a classic feel.

The day was captured by the wonderful Jane Beadnell Photography our our official flower school photographer,  who worked with super talented hair and make up artist Natalie Willingham and dresses by Maggie Sottero  were supplied by Hayley Hoyle from the Harrogate Wedding lounge to bring the shoot to life. Biggest thanks to our lovely models too.
