Great Gatsby inspired wedding florals
Greta and Joe wed on the 23rd July 2022 at Birdsall House, a stunning stately home near Malton, North Yorkshire. This beautiful venue was the perfect location for a summer wedding, with its stunning gardens and picturesque views.
For those who love the glamour and sophistication of the roaring twenties, a Great Gatsby-inspired wedding would be the perfect fit and that is exactly the brief we were given by Greta and Joe. Birdsall House's vintage charm and elegant decor made it the ideal location for their wedding.
Flowers included, roses, spray roses, delphinium, hydrangea, trails of passion flower and orchids… LOTS of orchids!
The ceremony was in the house, followed by a magical marquee (from Will’s Marquees) reception in the gorgeous grounds. Using Yorkshire grown foliage to create the structure we added layers and layers of incredible blooms to create a magical archway and the most spectacular entrance and welcome to the wedding!
The ceremony room featured 2 statement urns and smaller vases full of orchids to carry the theme on to the ceremony table and fireplace.
Walking into the marquee was dreamlike, we created 2 different table scapes on different levels. One was a mass of cylinder vases surrounding candelabras that we adorned with beautiful peach, pink and cream toned phalaenopsis orchids. The other was a grouping of low punchbowls that were overflowing with hydrangea, roses and of course the cherry on top… orchids! All in the fabulous colour palette of champagne, green, copper and blush and with taper candles to match and add that extra touch of magic.
A stunning wedding and one to remember for years to come - thank you so much Greta and Joe for letting us be part of your magical day!
