Such a great use of colour at this Denton Hall , Ilkley spring wedding, the lovely Lindsey has worked with us a bit in the past so we were super excited to work on her special day. She had originally got in touch when searching for her dream venue and she fell in love with Denton Hall which as you know is one of our favourites.
With a love of colour she chose a funky colour scheme shown by her fab invites. incorporating rainbow colours. The venue Denton Hall in Ilkley is full of wonderful detail but does lend itself to most colour schemes. We chose lots of spring flowerstulips, ranunculus, viburnum opulus, freesia and peonies so it was really seasonal and pretty. We even managed to source some coral peonies that are just coming in to season. They were huge and so beautiful, Peonies are a firm wedding favourite and coral peonies are all over Pinterest at the moment.
Her wedding ceremony chairs were dressed with multiple colours of tulips to add a fun and spring feel to the grandeur of Denton Hall.
We loved the giant balloons too for a pop of colour especially with the black and white floor of the palmery. This is an area at Denton Hall that is often overlooked for weddings and its a beautiful space. It leads you in to the wedding breakfast so a great place to set the scene.
Lindsey also learnt how to make macarons for her wedding guests and displayed them on our hired silver cake stands. Hope you enjoy the pics. We love the one of the couple at the ceremony table in the Green room at Denton Hall, such a joyous image and Lindsey looks truly beautiful. The bride has now set up her own macaron company called The Little Macaron Factory so we shall look forward to some lovely samples and working with her on weddings in the future
