Celebrating Five Years of Channel 4 in Leeds
We have had the privilege of working on many beautiful events, but some come along that truly feel like a dream - ones that not only allow us to showcase our work but also to contribute to something bigger. The celebration of Channel 4’s five-year anniversary in Leeds was one one of those events!
When we were asked to style the dinner on stage at West Yorkshire Playhouse, which marked 5 years of Channel 4 in Leeds, I was absolutely honored to represent the North and in such an iconic venue. It was really special to be part of the occasion, which hosted senior Channel 4 staff from all around the UK, and to help create an atmosphere that celebrated not just the channel, but the energy and creativity that Leeds—and the North—brings to the UK’s media landscape.
The talented Leafy Couture Team and I created something bold, beautiful, and completely reflective of the season; Two huge foliage-filled chandeliers suspended above two long banquet tables, along with tables filled with roses, berries, autumn foliage, textures and candles in deep burgundies, warm oranges, and soft blush tones created a super stunning visual backdrop for the evening.
The scale of the chandeliers was what really made this project special. The effect was a striking display of Autumn foliage, with the magic of the Playhouse stage lighting and a touch of mist created an immersive environment for the guests.
I felt incredibly proud to be representing Leeds in this way, to be part of an event that was celebrating a local institution, and to create something that reflected both the vibrancy of the city and the beauty of nature.
We’d like to give a huge thanks and shout out to Katie Paterson, Channel 4’s event manager who created a really beautiful evening for all the guests.
As well as Matt Radcliffe who has perfectly captured the night.
